Scenic Oregon Coastline
Scenic Oregon Coastline, 11/7/07

The weather here has been just crappy lately so my camera hasn’t been seeing much action. For this post I went looking through some older  photos in search of something to remind me that it isn’t always like this. I took this on the central Oregon coast. Now this is why I live here!

Lighthouse Lens
Now That’s a Lens, 2/26/08

We walked up 114 steps to the top of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. I didn’t even notice going up the steps for all the photos I was taking. This lens is made up of more than 200 individual panes of glass. It was amazingly cool to be inside of it.

The Helen McColl, 2/25/08

In the late afternoon Sutree and I walked along the commercial fishing docks in Newport. The sun was hitting the marina at just the right angle. This is my favorite photo from that day.

Day 53
Oh Shit, 2/24/08

This was on the beach in Newport. I watched this young woman climb onto that rock from the sand below and in a matter of seconds she was surrounded by an incoming wave. Luckily, she didn’t slip. I don’t think the water was that deep around her but she might have easily been scooped away by the waves if she had fallen. Not to worry though, she did make it safely back to shore.
